Osteopathic mobilisations

When pain keeps returning to the same spot, a neighbouring joint has often lost its mobility. Mobilisations give movement back to the level that is stuck.

What it is for

Restricted joint mobility, recurring pain, stiffness that resists muscular work alone.

Gentle techniques

I work with progressive, respectful mobilisations, not abrupt manipulation. Nothing is done without your agreement.

As a complement

These techniques reinforce therapeutic massage; they do not replace it.

How the session works

After the assessment I test the mobility of the relevant levels, then apply slow, repeated mobilisations to restore joint play. Muscular work almost always precedes joint work.

Frequently asked questions

Are you an osteopath?

I am a certified manual therapist, currently completing my osteopathy training. I use mobilisation techniques as a complement to therapeutic massage, and I stay within my scope of practice.

Is there any cracking?

I favour gentle mobilisations. There is no abrupt manipulation, and nothing is done without your explicit agreement.

Is it suitable for everyone?

No. Osteoporosis, recent fracture, acute inflammation or neurological signs require prior medical advice. I will refer you if needed.
